VISITS The visits team generally organise 3 day trips a year. We travel by coach from Beaconsfield Old Town and engage guides with specific knowledge of visited venues. Time is allowed for coffee on arrival and a light lunch. We have a core of regular friendly supporters and welcome new members as participants on our outings.

TOURS take members to sites both at home and abroad where we can see the art, architecture and history in situ and learn more from an accompanying guide. It’s also an opportunity to travel with friends and make new friends. Each tour is organised by a member of The Arts Society Beaconsfield committee, together with a help of a professional tour company and a qualified guide, to ensure that the visit will run smoothly.

SPECIAL INTEREST DAYS are arranged twice a year. Subjects are varied, ranging from garden design, to porcelain, to cities and their architecture and art. The aim is to study a subject in more depth than an hourly programme lecture. The day consists of three one-hourly sessions, with breaks for coffee and lunch. These events are held in the Fitzwilliams Centre in Beaconsfield, and are very popular, as they are fun as well as informative. The lecturers themselves are engaging and extremely knowledgeable in his/her field.
