Caravaggio: A Rebel on the Run Sian Walters Thursday 07 November 2019

Caravaggio was the definitive bad boy of art history. In 1606, in a brawl, he ended up killing a certain Ranuccio Tomassoni with his sword. This lecture will explore in particular the remarkable stylistic transformations during Caravaggio’s last four years, a period of restlessness and yet extraordinary creative activity.
