From the 16th to the 19th centuries these three strands of cultural
borrowing gave rise to a new way of seeing and interpreting the world
around us. They brought about new designs in architecture, painting,
prints, textiles, furniture, interiors, glass, ceramics and jewellery.
We see their legacy today; can we trace their origins?
