Community giving gives grants to local organisations. The aim being to enable the participants to experience the visual and expressive arts so that their lives will be enriched thereby.
2024-2025 Donations were made to:
- Bradbury House Easter Art Workshop (£567). The residents were asked to make something personal for Easter and Claire introduced some ideas for cards, which can be seen in Community Giving gallery.
- Koestler (£1000) - Donation towards their work in supporting under 25-year-olds at HM Young Offenders Institution in Aylesbury.
- Holtspur School (£180) - The art teacher was able to sign up their year 5 pupils to participate in Art Bytes a national online, inter-school, art competition. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place entries can be seen in the Community Giving Gallery.
- Beaconsfield Community Mosaic project (£500) towards the new mosaic to be located at The Fitzwilliams Centre and depicting ‘The Tree of Life’ designed by Maud Milton, who founded Artyface in 1999 with the aim of providing high quality legacy art. Rhiannon Scott who is co-ordinating the mosaic project in Beaconsfield set up a ‘drop in’ workshop to decorate the tiles for the ‘Tree of Life’ mosaic on July 10th. Results can be seen in the Community Giving gallery.
2023-2024 Donations made to:
This year we have given a grant to a school, supported the Beaconsfield Community Mosaic project, provided workshops at Bradbury House and established links with Koestler to promote an interest in art for young offenders. We sponsored a recycling project at Holtspur School, and
we purchased a sewing machine for Alfriston School.

2020/21
Inspired by Dale Chihuly's chandelier in the V & A Museum, Year 10 students at Beaconsfield High School (BHS) created this chandelier, from used plastic bottles. TASB sponsored this project, BHS engaging the artist Debs Hoy, who trained in sculpture. 26 students worked in groups of 5/6 at one hourly intervals throughout a single day in September - what a result. The girls gained a lot from the experience and BHS hope it will be the source of inspiration and admiration from visitors, staff, parents and pupils.
2019/20
Holtspur pre-school staff chose to use their Arts Society money to fund their training on how to develop the children’s independent thinking skills and further develop the process of story writing.
The Society funded African drumming workshops at St Marys school.
- Alfiston School. The money will provide an opportunity for all K.S. year 3 pupils to experience the joys of silk painting.They have not been able to do this previously because of financial restraints.
2018/19 £1,000 was shared between Butlers Court school and Farnham Common school.
